Low-Fat Beef and Couscous


1/2 small onion, chopped

1/2 lb lean ground beef

1 tsp of garlic powder

3 tbsp of Garlic Parmesan Seasoning

Salt to taste

Olive oil

Flavored grains (highly suggest Near East Creative Grains Roasted Garlic Brown Rice or Couscous)


Cook grains as directed on box. If you don't want to use any oil in your grains, you will be fine. Start the meat mixture 15 minutes before your boxed grains are ready. Spray skillet to prevent sticking. Add all ingredients to the pan and cook on medium high heat until all pink is gone in your meat. After grains are cooked, add the meat mixture into the grains and stir thoroughly. Serve with vegetables such as cauliflower and broccoli on the side. If you want this meal to be extremely low in fat, don't use high fat ground beef and omit the oil from the grains.
