Chef’s, Caesar, Greek…your typical salads can feel so mundane sometimes. Impress your guests and your taste buds this summer with these spruced up salads featuring fresh and simple ingredients from your garden or farmer’s market. Finish them off with a sprinkle of Kernel Season’s to add an unexpected hint of flavor that will have you going back for more.

 


Avocado and Basil Ranch SaladSweet blueberries, creamy avocado and zesty ranch make this salad perfect for summer entertaining

Ingredients:

Avocados

Blueberries

Fresh basil

Extra virgin olive oil

Kernel Season’s Ranch Seasoning

 

Cut avocados into large pieces (sliced lengthwise) and arrange on a platter. Next, chiffonade fresh basil leaves. Pile basil leaves, one on top of the other and roll up tightly. Then cut into thin slices, creating long strands of basil. Sprinkle basil on top of avocado along with fresh blueberries. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and shake on Kernel Season’s Ranch seasoning to taste.

Grilled Peach and Jalapeno Roquefort Cheese Salad

Fresh summer peaches, spicy jalapeño and creamy cheese are the pillars of this simple salad

Ingredients:

Roquefort cheese

Peaches

Mixed baby greens

Kernel Season’s Cheesy Jalapeno Seasoning

 

Slice and remove pits from peaches then place on the grill. Heat until warm and soft, but still firm. Then spread grilled peach slices across a bed of mixed baby greens. Top with crumbled Roquefort cheese and sprinkle lightly with Kernel Season’s Cheesy Jalapeno seasoning.

This summer salad is the perfect mix of sweet, spicy and savory with grilled peaches and jalapeño spiced Roquefort cheese.

 

Garlic Parmesan Kale SaladNutrient rich kale and protein packed hard boiled eggs make this salad a hearty dish perfect for dinner or any summer BBQ

Ingredients:

Soft or hard boiled eggs

Fresh kale

Pepper salami slices

Creamy dressing (choose your favorite)

Kernel Season’s Garlic Parmesan Seasoning

 

This heartier salad features nutritious kale and protein packed eggs and salami. Using soft or hard boiled eggs, peel the shells and slice eggs in half. Spread eggs over top pieces of freshly washed kale. Add slices of peppered salami and sprinkle Kernel Season’s Garlic Parmesan seasoning on top. Finish by dropping small spoonfuls of your favorite creamy dressing on top.
